Community Printmaking Offerings

Community Printmaking Courses

Open-level introductory community courses are ideal for beginner printmakers. The instructor and focus of each community course varies from semester to semester, and enrolled students can expect to learn the basics of anywhere from 2 to 4 printmaking processes. Information about upcoming Community Courses is usually made available on the TC Printmaking website at least 4 weeks prior to the beginning of the course. In addition to weekly class meetings with the instructor, students who demonstrate and understanding of the processes they are learning are given access to Open Studio Hours until the class end date.

Independent Community Printmaking / Studio Access

This advanced and independent level studio session provides experienced printmakers outside of TC the space and equipment to develop existing projects and execute new ones. Printmakers registered in this community program will have access to studio during Open Studio Hours. Applicants must demonstrate experience working independently in the one of following processes: Silkscreen, Woodblock and Linoleum, Intaglio, Etching and Aquatint, Lithography (plate, photo, stone) and some mono printing. Please note, not all of these processes are available to community printmakers during every session / semester.
Please contact printmaking@tc.columbia.edu for more information.

Community Students will receive time-sensitive messages in the manner you specify. TC Alert is only initiated for safety-related messaging and is not used to disseminate general campus information.
